Tenebris Somnia PS5 Release Date: Confirmed News, Physical Editions, and What's Next

If you’re searching for the Tenebris Somnia PS5 release date, the answer is October 16, 2026. The official PlayStation Store lists the PS5 version with that release date and a live purchase option. The separate Lost In Cult physical edition has its own manufacturing and shipping window, so do not confuse boxed-copy delivery estimates with the already-released digital PS5 version.

All statuses and figures below reflect information observed on October 20, 2026 in the sources linked throughout.

Is There a Confirmed Tenebris Somnia PS5 Release Date?

Yes. The official PlayStation Store lists Tenebris Somnia for PS5 with a release date of October 16, 2026 and a launch price of $24.99. The digital PS5 version is already released.

Lost In Cult’s physical PS5 pre-order is a separate product with a later manufacturing and shipping schedule; it does not determine the digital storefront launch date.

The critical distinction for anyone tracking the Tenebris Somnia PS5 release date is this: a shipping estimate for a boxed copy is not a launch date. Lost In Cult's listing estimates shipping in Q4 2026 / Q1 2027, which tells you when the disc is expected to land on your shelf — not when Sony's storefront will sell the game digitally.

What the PC and PS5 Releases Tell Us About the Console Version

The PC and PS5 versions are both released, and the gameplay description below applies to the launched game. Tenebris Somnia is a 2D survival-horror adventure in the mold of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, built with a retro 8- or 16-bit aesthetic. The hook is its cinematics: at key story points, the game cuts to live-action sequences shot with real actors and practical effects by an award-winning film crew from Argentina.

The loop described on the Steam page is straightforward survival horror — solving puzzles and fighting creatures while unspooling a dark story. Steam also lists Xbox controller support, Steam Deck Verified status, achievements, trading cards, cloud saves, and family sharing.

The PC version has been well received. As of October 20, 2026, the Steam store page recorded a "Very Positive" rating from 648 user reviews, with 93% of those reviews positive. That is a dated snapshot of the PC build only, and it should not be read as a forecast for how the PS5 version will be reviewed.

Language support on Steam covers interface and subtitles in English, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Japanese, and Portuguese (Brazil), with no full audio tracks listed. Whether the PS5 release matches that set exactly has not been stated.

The PS5 Physical Edition: What's Actually Confirmed

If you want a physical PS5 copy, Lost In Cult is the collector route; the digital PS5 version is already available through the PlayStation Store.

• Product code: LIC PS-009
• Editions: A standard "LIC Retail+" release and a limited "EDITIONS" version
• PS5 print run: The EDITIONS version is capped at 1,000 copies on PlayStation 5 (compared with 1,500 on Switch 2 and 500 on Xbox)
• On-disc content: The full game on disc, tested by the archivist group DoesItPlay? for preservation, with no internet connection or download required
• EDITIONS extras: Custom mailer box, essay and developer interview booklet, variant cover art, outer slipcase, numbered inner slipcase, fold-out poster, four art cards, and a numbered developer authenticity card
• Pre-order bonuses: A fold-out poster and a set of polaroid-style art cards exclusive to the store
• Shipping estimate: Q4 2026 / Q1 2027

Pricing started at £29.99 as observed on October 20, 2026, with the EDITIONS tier costing more than the standard release. For collectors, the PS5 EDITIONS run is capped at 1,000 copies; the smaller Xbox allocation is capped at 500. The physical PS5 run is separate from the already-released digital PS5 version.

What the Released PS5 Version Confirms

PC Pricing and Availability Right Now

The PC version is live as well. As of October 20, 2026, Steam listed Tenebris Somnia at $19.99, down 20% from a normal price of $24.99, with the introductory offer stating an end date of October 30. That is a dated snapshot of a promotional price, not a permanent figure — check the store page for the live value before buying.

Steam also bundles the game with related horror titles, including a two-pack with FAITH, a Silver Pines bundle, and a Look Outside bundle, each offering roughly 10–15% off the combined price at the time of observation.
